Macbeth’s time is all but up.
After Macbeth kills young Siward, he is reassured that no man born of a woman can kill him. Macduff is storming through the castle looking for Macbeth so he can fight him. Young Siward’s father tells the good news of how most of Macbeth’s soldiers have surrendered and that many have changed sides to fight against Macbeth.
Theme: It is only a matter of time before Macbeth’s rule is over.
